My top 5 favourite vlog topics

Starting out vlogging can be daunting and knowing what people want to watch can be hard to figure out. To help you out I came up with my top five favourite types of videos to watch.

1. What's in my handbag?
I love when bloggers go through their bag and show you what they carry and how they set it out. As a must, show me the bag and the story behind it. This one can be broken up into weekend bag, work bag or uni bag too.

2. A day in the life
For some reason watching how other people go about their day can be oh-so-interesting. Pick a day when you've got a few things to do and off you go. #instantrealitystar

3. Shopping haul
If I'm not shopping I can get just about the same amount of kicks through seeing what someone else is spending their hard earned cash on. Try and theme your haul: beauty, food, fashion and so on.

4. Beauty how-to
I am hopeless at make up so rely heavily on vloggers to teach me how to highlight, blend and contour away all the sleepless nights.

5. Travel
A great way to feed the travel bug and see places up close and personal. Chances are you'll be camera happy while on holiday anyway so might as well share your experiences. Bonus points for Disney related.

  1. Day in the life is definitely my favourite kind of vlogging, also when it includes a while week of daily life vlogs.

Store Edit: Building a capsule wardrobe at Forever New

Welcome to my new series of blogs 'Store Edit' where I pull together my favourite pieces from my go-to stores. Forever New is always top of my list for timeless pieces that age well - in particular, I have about seven of their blazers on high rotation in closet. Also, if you've been here for more than five minutes you'd be well aware that I am a fan of a monochrome palette and a capsule wardrobe that works for you. A little black dress, versatile heels, structured blazer, neutral accessories and classic basics can make getting ready each day enjoyable rather than utter torture. Check out my edit of what I'm eyeing off for when the baby bump has departed!  Deena Lace Drape Midi Dress $159.99 Kiki Cage Clutch $59.99 Viviana Long-Sleeved Linen Shirt $79.99 Bella High-Rise Sculpting Jeans $89.99 Penelope Two-Part Court Heels $69.99 Aurelia 13" Laptop Bag $89.99 Ava Boyfriend Blazer $89.99 Please note: this is in no way sponsore...

How we got baby to sleep through the night* **

Back when all I could do was imagine her sleeping there.  *we have no freaking idea. This post gives no real advice and is not selling a sleep program. It is purely a recount of my experience so far. ** Daisy is sleeping through at the moment. She is not teething yet but she is about to enter a leap. We are by no means under the illusion that this is forever. Daisy sleeping through the night happened by accident. We just woke up one morning and realised that she hadn't woken up. Cue the diving out of bed to check she was still breathing. We stood at the cot and grinned at each other for a really long time. The next night it happened again. The third night, she woke us up. "But Daisy," I said, "you sleep through now,". She had a bottle and went back to sleep. We haven't really worked at setting a routine but fell into one anyway. She has a bath every night, a bottle and then is either rocked to sleep or placed into her cradle in our room awake but sl...

How to plan a wine tour

Whether a hens weekend, fundraiser or an excuse to get your friends together, a wine tour is a fun way to indulge and let your hair down. However, to get the best out of your time it is essential you do some planning. How are you going to get around?  Whether you have a few designated drivers or hire a bus it is vital you organise transport. Vineyards are usually rather isolated with next to zero public transport so make sure you tick this one off the list first. A wine tour company can be a great option as they take care of where the tour will go and often have relationships with staff at the cellar door. Which wineries? Get your hands on a map and plot out where you want to go. Look for reviews and make your choices on based on who offers the best tastings and experiences for your guests.  Pre-bookings and payment Not all tastings are free and many cellar doors will charge a fee of around $10pp. If you’re in a group find out if you need to book as you could get turne...
